Information
- The Hills of Ironhorse homeowners’ association (HOA) is overseen by a board of directors. These volunteers are elected by HOA residents at the annual meeting, held in October. The board ensures that the HOA bylaws are upheld, common areas are maintained and finances preserved. The board and annual meetings are open to the public and meeting dates and times are provided in advance.
- HOA dues are billed annually in January. Dues not paid by January 31, are considered delinquent and are assessed a 10% late charge.
- Homeowner changes to landscape, exterior paint colors, roofs and decks must be approved in advance by the HOA Architectural Control Committee. New pools, fences and exterior home additions must be approved in advance as well. The changes should be detailed on an Architectural Request Form and submitted to the Committee. Responses are typically returned within three business days. MAK Management, LLC facilitates the process.
- Trash, recycling and yard waste pickup is paid by the HOA. The service provider is Constable Sanitation (www.constablesanitation.com/hillsofironhorse) (816) 204-1192. All items must be at the curb by 6:00 a.m. on Fridays to ensure pick up. Service is delayed one day for all observed holidays, except the 4th of July and Christmas. Glass is not accepted with recycling and yard waste must be kept separate from other trash. Yard waste is unlimited and will be picked up year round. Bundles must not exceed 4’ in length and 18” in diameter. Large item pick up will be included for residents on the first Friday each month. Please visit the website above for additional information or to submit a request to Constable Sanitation.
- The HOA is managed by MAK Management, LLC. MAK Management collects annual dues, makes disbursements for the HOA, as authorized by the board, and prepares financials. MAK coordinates and oversees maintenance and repairs to the HOA common areas including the pool. MAK also handles communications regarding HOA matters with HOA residents.
- The HOA pool is open each year from the Friday of Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. It can be utilized anytime between 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m throughout that period. It is available for HOA residents and their accompanied guests only. There is no lifeguard on duty. Please review the pool rules with your family.
